📘 PRE‑K STANDARDS (PA Early Learning Standards)

  Language & Literacy
• 1.1.PK.A–D – Engage in conversations, ask/answer questions, and use new vocabulary.
• 1.4.PK.A–C – Use drawing, dictation, and early writing to express ideas.
• 1.5.PK.A–D – Participate in group discussions and share information.
  Social & Emotional Development
• SE.1.PK – Identify personal characteristics and preferences.
• SE.2.PK – Express feelings and ideas appropriately.

📗 K–5 STANDARDS (PA Core ELA)

• CC.1.2.K–5.A – Identify main ideas and key details in informational text.
• CC.1.3.K–5.A – Describe characters, settings, and events (if using stories about themselves).
  Writing
• CC.1.4.K–5.A – Write to convey ideas, information, or experiences.
• CC.1.4.K–5.B – Use drawing, dictation, and writing to express personal ideas (K–1).
• CC.1.4.K–5.M–N – Write narratives about real experiences (perfect for time capsules).
• CC.1.4.K–5.S–T – Use grade‑appropriate conventions of writing.
• CC.1.4.K–5.V – Conduct short research or reflection tasks (e.g., “My goals for this year”).
  Speaking & Listening
• CC.1.5.K–5.A–D – Participate in collaborative conversations; follow rules for discussion.
