Make a Chinese rattle drum with Liz from WQED Education! The Chinese Rattle Drum (also called the hand drum) originated in China during the Song Dynasty and became a popular children’s toy that is still used today. Use this fun craft activity to open up a discussion with your child about this Chinese instrument! Crafted simply from two paper plates and a wooden stick, we will affix bells onto the ends of string to make music!
