About

This Family and Community Learning (FCL) is all about gardening and the basics of gardening. This FCL is for children ages 5-8 and each session should be about 2 hours long. Facilitators should encourage adults to ask what the children are seeing, hearing, and experiencing. This will extend the activities and encourage creativity and exploration. The topics covered in this series are:

  • What a Plant Needs to Grow
  • Friends of the Garden (Pollinators)
  • Composting
  • Garden Party (Eating from the Garden)
