Grownups – Here are some fun activities to engage your little learners even further:
Did you know that monsters can also be funny, friendly, and lovable? Did you know that you can make your own monster at home? Yes! Just find some materials that you already have and get creative! Use socks, yarn, paper towel tubes, paper bags, and whatever art supplies you have laying around to make your own monster! There’s no wrong way to make a monster.
How about some music that your new monster friend can dance to! After creating your not-so-scary monsters, pick out your favorite song and make a monster music video! Make some monster music with your friends from Sesame Street!
Want to have even more monster fun? Get up and get moving with monsters who are never scary! Move and shake with Grover and friends from Sesame Street.

In this story Scary the Monster learns that it’s not nice to scare people. Have you ever been afraid? Have you ever been scared? It’s perfectly ok to feel afraid. Just find a trusted adult and talk about your feelings. It’s important to talk about our feelings, especially when things scare us.
